Commissioner Andriukaitis calls on member states to support renewed authorisation for glyphosate for further 10 years

Given that he considers that the “scientific controversy is now closed” on the question of glyphosate, the Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Vytenis Andriukaitis, launched an appeal on Monday 17 July, to member states to support the Commission’s proposal to renew glyphosate’s authorisation for 10 years. This question will be debated by the experts on 19 and 20 July (see EUROPE 11829).
