The European Commission’s proposal to renew the authorisation in the EU for ten years of the highly controversial glyphosate was been presented to the member states and will be discussed with EU28 experts at a meeting of the standing committee on plants, animals, feed and food (PAFF) scheduled for 19 and 20 July (see EUROPE 11813).
