Karl-Heinz Lambertz elected head of Committee of the Regions

It has come as no surprise that Karl-Heinz Lambertz (PES, Belgium) was overwhelmingly elected head of the Committee of the Regions (CoR) for a two and a half year mandate, during the CoR plenary session on Wednesday 12 July. He will therefore be taking over from President Markku Markkula (EPP, Finland), who becomes the First Vice President of the CoR.
