MEP support inter-institutional compromise on entry/exit system

12/07/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 12 July, the European Parliament’s civil liberties committee (LIBE) endorsed the compromise reached on 29 June with the Maltese presidency of the Council of the EU on the entry/exit system for third country travellers in the EU (see EUROPE 11820). The system seeks to speed up and strengthen controls of non-EU travellers at the EU’s borders.
