30/06/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 30 June, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said that the current discussions for the reunification of Cyprus were the last chance. "This is the last chance for the process of reunification and I will do everything possible to be useful", he said at a press conference in Tallinn with Estonia's Prime Minister Juri Ratas. Juncker hoped that the discussions would make progress, and added that the first meeting in this format with the guarantors had not been very fruitful. In Ratas' opinion, Cyprus is a "strong member of the EU". "It is our responsibility to find the best solution possible", he said, adding that as president of the EU Council he would talk about this issue. (CG)
