29/06/2017 (Agence Europe) – Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid, speaking to the European press in Tallinn on Thursday 29 June, said that the EU must give consideration to the secondary movement of migrants who “don’t want to stay where they were relocated”. “People who have lost everything want to start again in the best country. … We accept our quotas. We support them, teach, accept children at school, understanding if they go to Sweden, they will get a better pay”, she said. She suggested that the wishes of the migrants should be taken into account in relocation. And the starting point for reform of the Dublin system should be solidarity and understanding of internal migration in the EU. (MB with CG)
