Non-EU nationals residing legally in a member state are generally eligible to receive social security benefits

In a decision made on Wednesday 21 June (C-449/16), the European Court of Justice stated that a national of a non-EU country holding a single work permit in a Member State enjoys, as a general rule, the social security benefits provided for nationals of that State.
