Belgian Roland Kobia appointed Special Envoy of the European Union to Afghanistan

21/06/2017 (Agence Europe) – The European External Action Service (EEAS) announced in a press release on Wednesday 21 June that High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini has appointed Roland Kobia as the Special Envoy of the European Union to Afghanistan.  The EEAS states that Kobia will take up his new role on 1 September 2017, replacing Franz-Michael Mellbin from Denmark.  Kobia will work in close cooperation with the recently...
