02/06/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 2 June, the European Commission approved the creation of a joint venture, NGM S.A.S., by the companies Électricité de France (EDF), la Caisse des dépôts et consignations (CDC) and the Mitsubishi Corporation. The company, which will be based in France, will be active in the electric mobility sector. EDF is active on the electricity market in France and abroad. CDC, which is a French public body, finances projects of general interest and is active in taking shareholdings in sectors open to competition and fund management. Mitsubishi is present in the environmental, infrastructure, manufacturing, finance and energy sectors. Given that the company will have only negligible activities in the European Economic Area, the Commission concluded that the planned transaction would not raise any competition problems. (LT)
