23/05/2017 (Agence Europe) – European Commission Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič will pursue his second Energy Union Tour in Lithuania on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 May. He will meet Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaité, Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis, the ministers for energy, Žygimantas Vaičiūnas, and the environment, Kęstutis Navickas, as well as other high-level political figures and members of the parliament. Discussions will focus on the clean energy for all package, governance of the Energy Union and national energy and climate plans. Also on the agenda will be synchronisation of the Baltic States’ electricity grid with the continental European network and the liquid natural gas (LNG) terminal in Klaipeda and its role in the Baltic region.
