European Parliament approval for opening negotiations on new provisions to help regions struck by natural disasters

On Wednesday 5 April, the European Parliament approved the opening of inter-institutional negotiations as part of the simplified procedure with amendment, for the modification of the regulation proposed by the European Commission to provide more swift and effective assistance to regions devastated by natural disasters.
