The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) will provide scientific advice on the daily intake of added sugar in food by early 2020, the authority announced on Thursday 23 March. The aim is to establish a science-based cut-off value for daily exposure to added sugars from all sources which is not associated with adverse health effects.
