08/02/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 8 February, the European Commission is launching a call for proposals for €1 billion of grants as part of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). For the first time, this call for proposals will help combine CEF grants with the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) and further co-funding from the private sector and the European Investment Bank. Selected projects must contribute to sustainable, innovative and seamless transportation along the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). Two deadlines have been set out for submitting proposals: 14 July and 30 November 2017. This is the fourth call for proposals under the CEF.
