EFSA confirms go-ahead for health claims for Vitamin C

The claim that Vitamin C protects DNA, protein and fats from damage from oxidation has robust scientific backing justifying its use in the EU by manufacturers of food products wishing to state this on labels of food products containing Vitamin C for infants and toddlers, says the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
