Commission proposes aid for UK in aftermath of floods in December 2015

13/01/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 13 January, the European Commission proposed aid of €60 million for the United Kingdom from the European Social Fund (ESF) following floods in the country in December 2015 and January 2016.  The floods damaged transport infrastructure and public and private buildings.  The proposal now needs to be examined by the European Parliament and the Council.  Recently, the Commission suggested easing the rules (Regulation 1303/2013) in order to allow 100%...
