UNHCR calls for more to be done for refugees in extreme winter conditions in Europe

The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) is “deeply worried” at the situation of refugees and migrants faced with harsh winter conditions across Europe and has urged “state authorities across Europe to do more to assist and protect refugees and migrants”, according to its spokesperson Cécile Pouilly, quoted in a press release on Friday 13 January.
