04/01/2017 (Agence Europe) – On 24 December the European External Action Service (EEAS) announced that the Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), comprising the E3+3 (Germany, France, United Kingdom and China, US and Russia) and Iran, will convene in Vienna on 10 January. “The meeting will review the implementation of the (Iranian nuclear) agreement and discuss the issues raised in the letter Foreign Minister Zarif addressed on 16 December to the High Representative, Federica Mogherini, as coordinator of the Joint Commission”, the EEAS stated. The Joint Commission will be preceded by a meeting of the sanctions working group. The meeting will take place a few days before the inauguration of the new US president, Donald Trump, on 20 January. Trump has questioned the Iranian nuclear agreement on a number of occasions. (CG)
