01/12/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 1 December, the Council of the EU adopted, without debate, the regulation amending Regulation 1370/2013 determining measures on fixing certain aids and refunds related to the common organisation of markets in agricultural products. Poland voted against the text, which takes account of a Court of Justice ruling (case C-113/14) annulling Article 7 of the regulation on the common organisation of the markets in agricultural products on the grounds that the reference thresholds and certain aids for agricultural products ought to have been adopted exclusively by the Council on the basis of proposals by the Commission, in line with Article 43, paragraph 3 of the treaty.
