15/11/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 10 November, the European Commission launched a public consultation on the next Internet generation. This consultation seeks to define the priorities of the ”Horizon 2020” programme in the field of research and investment. The public consultation is open until 9 January 2017. It tackles the following themes: personal data, artificial intelligence, setting up networks in addition to IP addresses, etc. It is aimed at stakeholders involved in this transition, such as young researchers, companies starting up on the Internet and civil society. A call for supporting action (ICT-41 objective) within the Horizon 2020 research programme will be launched in December 2016 to identify specific research themes and create an ecosystem of the different actors involved.
