11/11/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 11 November, the European Commissioner Tibor Navracsis congratulated Elefsina, a Greek coastal city close to Athens, upon being selected to be a European Capital of Culture for the year 2021. Elefsina, which was up against Kalamata and Rhodes, will be the fourth Greek city to bear this title, after Athens in 1985, Thessaloniki in 1997 and Patras in 2006.
