EU and India partners in sustainable water management

10/10/2016 (Agence Europe) – During a visit to India (5-7 October), European Commissioner for the Environment Karmenu Vella signed a memorandum of understanding on water cooperation with Sushri Uma Bharti, the Indian minister for water resources.  The EU and India will exchange their experiences on the right to water and governance for this resource, as well as share their technological know-how.
