10/10/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 10 October, the European Commission announced that Neighbourhood Policy Commissioner Johannes Hahn will be signing a series of financial measures worth €129 million during a visit to Cairo on 11 and 12 October. The measures are to support priority EU-Egypt cooperation domains such as social and economic development, employment, migration, regional affairs and citizens’ rights. Hahn announced that the EU was working on a European Facility for Inclusive Growth and Job Creation, to be launched next year. The aim of this fund will be to create a more national and international investment-friendly environment and encourage job creation, particularly for young people. (CG)
