Maximum EIB loan of €300 million for Rentel offshore windfarm

04/10/2016 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 4 October, the European Union announced that it would support the construction of the Rentel wind farm off the Belgian coast with a loan of up to €300 million from the European Investment Bank (EIB). A large part of the loan (€250 million) will be guaranteed under the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), the financial arm of the Investment Plan for Europe.
