In Strasbourg on Tuesday 4 October, head of the EPP Group Manfred Weber called on member states to return to the negotiating table vis-à-vis housing asylum-seekers and refugees in the EU, and to agree to discuss the flexible solidarity measures put forward by the Visegrad nations (Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary) - which are refusing to take their quotas of refugees as set by the Council of the EU in 2015.
