Appeal against state aid for Hinkley Point nuclear plant thrown out

30/09/2016 (Agence Europe) – The European General Court has rejected an appeal by a German electricity supplier, Greenpeace Energy, and nine other renewable energy companies against the European Commission’s decision to allow the United Kingdom to give state aid for the Hinkley Point nuclear power plant (see EUROPE 11267).  In a ruling published on Friday 30 September (Case T-382/15), the General Court said that the appellants had failed to demonstrate that they were individually...
