Council wants COP to make progress on putting Paris commitments into action

Buoyed by unanimous agreement on swift ratification of the Paris Climate Agreement by the EU, the Environment Council adopted conclusions on Friday 30 September that were endorsed by all the member states on the negotiating position to be defended by the EU at COP 22 in Marrakech, Morocco, on 7-18 November.
