Bienkowska meets heads of Uber and AirBnB

On Tuesday 20 September, EU Internal Market and Industry Commissioner Elżbieta Bieńkowska held separate meetings with two controversial media figures, Travis Kalanick, the CEO of Uber, the online US platform linking private taxi drivers and clients, and Brian Chesky, head of AirBnB, the online service  for short-stay holidays in people’s homes (bed and breakfast).  The aim  of the meetings was to discuss the challenges of the collaborative economy.
