05/09/2016 (Agence Europe) – According to French news agency AFP, the president of the European Council, Donald Tusk, warned the G20 summit in Hangzhou, China, on Sunday 4 September that refugee reception capacity in Turkey was "approaching its limits". The European leader called on the other G20 members to assume their responsibility on this matter. "We must be realistic and pragmatic", he said. "The problem is not just the refugees coming from countries at war, like Syria… We're talking about 60-70 million displaced people in the world, a phenomenon that is also occurring here in Asia", he added. Tusk called on the G20 countries, including China, to take their share of responsibility and pointed out that "only a global level effort will be able to obtain results". (SP)
