On Friday 2 September, the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, announced the appointment of 11 new heads of EU delegations, in the framework of a regular rotation.
Africa. Germany's Bettina Muscheidt has been appointed Head of the EU Delegation to Libya and Jean-Michel Dumon of France will take the helm of the Delegation to Sudan.
Latin America. Stefano Gatto, an Italian national, becomes Head of the EU Delegation to Guatemala. The post of Head of the EU Delegation to Jamaica and Belize goes to Poland's Malgorzata Wasilewska.
Caribbean. Daniela Tramacere of Italy takes over the EU Delegation to Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Saint Kitts and Nevis, whilst Arend Biesebroek of the Netherlands becomes Head of the EU Delegation to Trinidad and Tobago.
Asia. Luxembourg's Leo Faber takes over the EU Delegation to Laos and Alexandre Leitao of Portugal the Delgation to Timor-Leste. Spanish national Maria Castillo Fernandez becomes Head of the EU Delegation to Malaysia and Luxembourger Tung-Lai Margue will take over the EU Delegation to Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
