29/07/2016 (Agence Europe) - Protection for a German PGI. On Friday 29 July, the Commission approved the addition of a product name to the register of Protected Geographical Origins. The new entry is for a German blood sausage, Flönz (PGI). Flönz is an important element of the annual carnival celebrations of Cologne and Düsseldorf. (LC)
