20/05/2015 (Agence Europe) - Morocco joins EUROCONTROL. Morocco “will be fully integrated into EUROCONTROL's working structures and will be able to benefit from all services the Agency provides”, states the European intergovernmental agency responsible for air traffic control on its web site. The agency says that a comprehensive agreement was signed on 26 April with the Moroccan national Airports Office (ONDA). EUROCONTROL was represented by its director general, Frank Brenner, who was in Marrakesh to attend the International Airshow, taking place from 27 to 30 April. “EUROCONTROL has been working closely with the Kingdom of Morocco for many years”, Brenner said. “With over 850 flights a day moving between Europe and Morocco's airspace, it is a logical step for us to increase our level of integration and cooperation for the benefit of the airlines and the travelling public”, he stated.
