19/05/2016 (Agence Europe) - MEPs call for decent living conditions for migrants in Greece. The EU must ensure that decent living conditions are provided for refugees currently trapped in Greece because of the closure of the Balkans route, and in particular the border with the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, a delegation of MEPs from the Parliament civil liberties committee visiting Greece has said. The MEPs met the Greek minister in charge of migration, Ioannis Mouzalas, on Tuesday 17 May for discussions on the EU-Turkey agreement, a press release says. The MEPs highlighted the humanitarian situation in the Idomeni refugee camp, healthcare needs and schooling for children. The delegation is made up of Pieter Niedermuller, Birgit Sippel, Mariya Gabriel, Helga Stevens, Malin Bjork, Laura Ferrara, Roza Maria Grafin Thun Und Hohenstein, Anna Maria Corazza Bildt and Janice Atkinson.
