17/02/2016 (Agence Europe) - Carlo Borghini appointed to the Corporate Services Directorate of the Shift2Rail joint venture. The Shift2Rail joint venture is a public-private partnership operating within the framework of the Horizon 2020 programme and seeks to coordinate research in the railway sector. The announcement of Carlo Borghini's appointment to the post of Executive Director was announced on Tuesday 16 February. Borghini has extensive experience working in research programmes and European agencies. Since July 2014, he has been the director of the administrative services at the European Defence Agency (EDA). His appointment will be effective from the end of spring this year for a five-year period that can be extended for a single period. (PH)
