17/12/2015 (Agence Europe) - Island of St Martin to receive €10 million for cross-border cooperation. On Tuesday 15 December, the Commission adopted the cross-border programme between the French outermost region of Saint-Martin and the Dutch OCT (overseas countries and territories) of Sint Maarten worth a total of €12 million for the period from 2014 to 2020. The European regional development fund (ERDF) will provide €10 million of that sum. The programme focuses on two priority areas: the first is the environment and improving water and sanitation infrastructure, and the second is preventing flood risk by means of better rainwater management.
