Brussels, 17/12/2015 (Agence Europe) - The European Union is to provide €50 million in subsidies for Tunisian projects supporting the private sector, vocational training (€35 m in total) and energy efficiency (€15 m), a press release from the EU delegation in Tunis states on Tuesday 15 December.
The first project to be financed (IRADA, meaning 'resolve' in Arabic) aims at encouraging the development of business in the regions. The second project has the objective of correcting an “obvious gap between the jobs market and the teaching given in vocational training centres”. The third contract - Sustainable Use of Natural Resources and Energy Finance in Tunisia - will be developed in connection with financing (loans) from the EIB and the AFD (French Development Agency).
