27/11/2015 (Agence Europe) - It's Jeroen Dijsselbloem's turn to talk about a 'mini- Schengen.' The finance minister of the Netherlands, which will soon hold the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, warned in an interview with German newspaper Handelsblatt on Friday 27 November that five or six countries might decide to form a mini-Schengen area of free circulation of individuals, if the EU fails to solve the refugee crisis. The head of Eurogroup was putting words to an idea that had been floating around in the Netherlands for some weeks but has not been discussed at EU interior minister level. (SP)
