Spain must recover state aid granted by Spain to operators of terrestrial television platform

Brussels, 26/11/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 26 November, the General Court of the EU upheld the decision of the European Commission ordering Spain to recover State aid (€260 million) granted by Spain to operators of the terrestrial television platform.

In 2005, Spain decided to subsidise the transition to digital terrestrial television (DTT) in several remote regions of the country. This public funding also included support for the operation and maintenance of the DDT...
