Brussels, 15/09/2015 (Agence Europe) - National authorities may refuse to pay any social assistance benefits to nationals of other member states, whether or not they have previously worked in that state, if the claimant has been unemployed for more than six months, on the grounds that they place “an unreasonable burden on (the state's) social assistance system”.
