28/07/2015 (Agence Europe) - ALTER-EU submits complaints over transparency register. The organisation ALTER-EU has submitted five complaints to the EU lobby register secretariat. It alleges that five lobbying organisations have provided incorrect information in the register, under-reporting their real lobbying expenses. The complaints are against Cisco Systems Inc., AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD), Conseil de Coopération Economique (CCE), European Round Table of Industrialists (ERT) and Union Européenne du Commerce du Bétail et des Métiers de la Viande (UECBV). ALTER-EU says that each of these organisations declared less than €9,999 annual lobby expenditure in 2014, despite taking on staff, for example. Cisco Systems Inc. declared expenditure of between €150,000 and €200,000 in the previous year. (SP)
