02/07/2015 (Agence Europe) - 11th round of free trade talks. European and Japanese negotiators will meet again in Brussels on 6-10 July for their 11th session of talks for an EU-Japan free trade agreement. The 10th negotiation session (in Tokyo at the end of April) enabled progress in the process of consolidating the negotiation texts. Both negotiation teams showed a great deal of flexibility in order to make progress on complex issues (see EUROPE 11306). During the last bilateral summit in Tokyo on 29 May, the two parties agreed to speed up the negotiations with a view to concluding an agreement by the end of 2015 or start of 2016 (see EUROPE 11324).
