Agriculture/Fisheries Council. *Fisheries: agreement sought on the draft regulation establishing a multiannual management plan for fish stocks in the Baltic Sea. *Agriculture: conclusions on the position to be adopted by the EU for the forthcoming meeting of the UN Forum on Forests (New York, 4-5/05)

Brussels. Council of Ministers. Foreign Affairs Council. - Debate on EU- Latin America and Caribbean relations ahead of the EU-CELAC, 10-11/06; - report by the High Representative on the review of the European security strategy; - update on latest events in Libya and Yemen; - meeting with the foreign ministers of the countries of the Eastern Partnership ahead of the Eastern Partnership summit on 21-22/05.

Riga. Council of Ministers. In formal meeting of employment, social affairs and health ministers (until 22/04). *Health (20-21/04): involvement of industry in the preparation of a common health policy and in the development of an EU policy on nutrition and tackling alcohol abuse. *Employment and social affairs: matters relating to the social dialogue.

New York. European Commission. 9th round of negotiations on a transatlantic trade and investment partnership (TTIP) (until 24/04)

Committee activities (until 23/04). - BUDG and ECON: vote on the joint report on setting up a European fund for strategic investments (EFSI) prior to European Parliament negotiations with the Council (20/04). - DEVE: vote on the report on development funding ahead of the Addis Ababa international conference (13-16/07); - structured dialogue with the humanitarian aid commissioner and discussion with experts on health and development issues (20/04). - IMCO: discussion on the draft report on the delivery gap on implementation of the internal market by Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein and on relations with Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and Switzerland (renegotiation of the agreement with Switzerland of the free movement of persons) (20/04); - votes on improving personal protection equipment and gas appliances (23/04). - ITRE: public hearing on the internal energy market as a pillar for energy union. - SEDE: discussion with Brigadier General Antonio Maggi, Commander of the EU Training Mission Somalia (20/04). - Preparation of the 23-30/04 session.

Tuesday 21 April

General Affairs Council: - Initial debate on priorities for inclusion in the future inter-institutional agreement on “better legislation” that is to be proposed by the Commission; - 10th anniversary of the accession of Romania and Bulgaria; - conclusions on FYROM; - discussion with Frans Timmermans on implementation of the anti-terrorism recommendations by heads of state and/or government. - Points A: - approval of the increase in pre-financing of the youth employment initiative; - adoption of the revised MFF 2014-2020; - conclusion of the SAA with Bosnia and Herzegovina; - appointment of a new Council secretary general.
