French national takes over command at Frontex

Brussels, 27/11/2014 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 26 November, the European Common Border Management Agency announced that Fabrice Leggeri from France had been appointed Executive Director of the Frontex Agency.

The main challenge facing the new Executive Director, who takes over from Acting Executive Director, Gil Arias from Spain (temporarily in charge after the resignation of Ilkka Laitinen from Finland) will be to develop the agency in close cooperation with the member states. This...
