Brussels, 18/07/2014 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 17 July, the European Commission appointed Georg Haeusler (Austria) director responsible for management of resources within the Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI). Currently Head of Cabinet to Commissioner Dacian Ciolos, Haeusler will take up his new duties at a date to be determined later.
Additionally, Diego Canga Fano of Spain has been appointed director responsible for multilateral relations and quality policy at DG AGRI, with immediate effect. He was previously Head of Cabinet of former vice-president of the Commission, Antonio Tajani. Lastly, Josefine Loriz-Hoffmann (Germany) has been appointed, again with immediate effect, to the post of director in the same Directorate General (Rural Development section), where she was previously a head of unit responsible for the environment, forestry and climate change.
