Bank SRF contribution calculation details expected in September

Brussels, 08/07/2014 (Agence Europe) - In September, the European Commission is hoping to unveil calculation methods for the amount of money banks will have to pay in to the eurozone's bank resolution fund, SRF. Internal Market Commissioner Michel Barnier said at the Ecofin Council on Tuesday 8 July that intensive technical work would find a way of resolving differences between countries wanting a risk-based approach and countries wanting a proportional system based on bank size.
