EU makes €500,000 available to fight Ebola in West Africa

Brussels, 31/03/2014 (Agence Europe) - €500,000 in humanitarian aid has been made available by the EU to help to contain the spread of the outbreak of Ebola, an extremely contagious viral haemorrhagic fever, which was recently detected in West Africa, the European Commission announced on Friday 28 March. A public health expert from ECHO (the Commission's humanitarian aid service) was immediately sent to Guinea, where 103 suspected cases have been confirmed and 66 deaths...
