04/03/2014 (Agence Europe) - Ashton in Teheran. The High Representative, Catherine Ashton, will be in Teheran on 8 and 9 March, a source told EUROPE on 3 March. Ashton announced on 31 January that she would visit Iran following the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear programme between the E3+3 and Iran on 18 February. In early January, Ashton received an “open invitation” from the Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, to “visit Tehran whenever she likes”, according to Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
