Parliament wants fundamental rights monitoring mechanism

Brussels, 27/02/2014 (Agence Europe) - Adopting the report by Louis Michel (ALDE, Belgium) in Strasbourg on Thursday 27 February - by 312 votes to 244, with 27 abstentions - MEPS called for the European Commission to set up a new system “immediately” to monitor all member states' compliance with EU values and accession criteria.
