Brussels, 27/01/2014 (Agence Europe) - According to an opinion poll published in Le Journal du Dimanche” on 26 January, the lists of the French National Front - Marine Le Pen's far right populist party - could come top in the European elections. According to the poll, the National Front lists could obtain 23% of the votes, those of the UMP 21%, and those of the Socialist Party and Radical Left Party 18%. The lists of the Alternative Party - the new centre party - would then come next, garnering 11% of the votes, followed by those of the Left Front (9%) and of Europe Ecology-Greens (7%). In the UK, recent polls have also placed UKIP - the anti-European party - ahead of David Cameron's Conservative Party, with the Labour Party currently coming ahead of UKIP. (SP/transl.fl)
