13/09/2013 (Agence Europe) - Mobility Week. This year, Mobility Week will run from 16 to 22 September in more than 2000 European cities. The theme for this, the twelfth Mobility Week, is the impact that transport and our daily choices have on the quality of the air we breathe and our health. EU Environment Commissioner Janez Potocnik commented: “This year, we will put emphasis on the impact. By raising awareness and offering alternative transport options, cities can become more attractive places for people to live, they can make a major contribution to protect our health and promote a more sustainable future for all of us because when it comes to clean air, it's your move!” There will be events in Brussels throughout the week, organised in cooperation with the European Parliament and the European Commission.
