Brussels, 15/07/2013 (Agence Europe) - Mergers: Snam-Pacific Mezz/TIGF. On 13 July, the European Commission gave the go-ahead for joint acquisition of French company Transport et Infrastructure Gaz France SA (TIGF) by Italy's Snam SpA, ultimately controlled by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti SpA (CDP), and by Pacific Mezz Sarl (Pacific Mezz) of Luxembourg, ultimately controlled by GIC Special Investments Pte. Ltd (GICSI) of Singapore. TIGF is currently owned by Total SA, Total Gaz Electricité via Holdings France SAS. Snam is active in Italy in transport, storage and distribution of natural gas and runs a methane terminal. CDP is a limited company under public control (of the Italian government). Pacific Mezz and GICSI are global private capital investment companies. TIGF is active in the transport and storage of natural gas in south-west France.
